Cyber Security Incident Co-Ordinator (Cybersecurity)

Location: Corsham or Erskine, Scotland, United Kingdom. The role requires the right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility for UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, including applicable residency and possible nationality requirements.

Requirements

• Interest in cybersecurity and security incident management, with a commitment to continued learning.
• Strong analytical, investigative, communication, stakeholder management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Understanding of Defence environments and secure customer operations.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and work independently or collaboratively.
• Experience producing reports, procedures, or operational documentation.
• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet applicable UK Government and contractual security requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in Defence, Government, the Civil Service, Police, or another secure environment.
• Experience coordinating or investigating security incidents.
• Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging attack techniques.
• Experience in operational cybersecurity, security operations, or secure service environments.
• Passion for continuous improvement and professional development.

What you will do

• Coordinate and manage security incidents from initial triage through investigation and closure.
• Review alerts, security logs, and incident data to identify threats and determine appropriate actions.
• Work with resolver groups and specialist teams including Threat Hunting, Security Engineering, Digital Forensics, and CTAC.
• Provide operational security advice, escalate complex incidents, and support customers and internal stakeholders.
• Produce incident reports, dashboards, management information, and contractual service-level reporting using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Improve operational processes, support governance and security administration, and participate in an on-call rota for high-severity incidents.
