Customer Facing Engineer (SAP)

Location: Remote, New York

Salary: $100,000–$275,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own proofs of concept and enterprise deployments for strategic customers.
• Select use cases, configure Nova against customer systems, train users, and demonstrate measurable results.
• Guide SAP teams from initial deployment through long-term, expanding adoption.
• Act as the technical voice for SAP architects, development leads, product owners, and executives.
• Read code and traces, form hypotheses, debug production issues, and route complex problems precisely.
• Translate customer insights, friction points, and emerging use cases into product improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of serious SAP technical experience through consulting, in-house development, or independent work.
• Fluent ABAP skills and broader polyglot programming experience.
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA migrations or Clean Core programs.
• Experience with modern AI coding agents and informed opinions on frontier AI models.
• Clear communication with both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to debug complex customer systems and own technical outcomes end to end.

Nice to have

• Side projects, experiments, or contributions involving AI or agentic AI tooling.
• Experience at an early-stage startup or small consulting firm.
• Public technical work such as writing, talks, open-source contributions, or community participation.
• Interest in splitting time between customer engagements and core platform engineering.
