Lead Compute Deployment Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, NY; Austin, TX; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $201,000 – $255,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead compute deployment across sites, managing the process from dock to validated GPU clusters.
• Own the compute deployment schedule, ensuring thousands of nodes are racked, imaged, and burned in within weeks.
• Build and scale the bring-up factory, including automation and crew workflows for parallel site deployments.
• Maintain a strict validation bar, ensuring no cluster reaches production without proven performance.
• Travel 30-40% of the time to data center sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading compute or server deployment at data center scale.
• Track record of building bring-up processes that significantly reduce deployment time.
• Experience managing mixed teams of engineers and technicians.
• Ability to hold high quality standards under pressure and refuse hardware that fails validation.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU clusters and HPC acceptance testing.
• Background in deployment automation and vendor integration programs.
