Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York City, hybrid; work from hirify.global’s New York office with the option to work remotely 2–3 days per week

Salary: $155,000–$170,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Own fullstack feature development across React, React Native, TypeScript, and Java services.
• Build and scale customer-facing and internal applications supporting millions of users.
• Develop financial transaction, risk management, income verification, and predictive algorithms.
• Integrate third-party APIs and design REST and GraphQL services.
• Optimize SQL queries, relational database schemas, migrations, and application performance.
• Improve automation, visual testing, monitoring, CI/CD, and internal tools that reduce customer support workload.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience as a software engineer.
• Experience building REST-based services and APIs, ideally with Java.
• End-to-end UI/UX development experience with React or React Native.
• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript standards, ES6+, and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL databases, schema design, migrations, and analytical queries.
• Experience using AI tooling efficiently and following AI development best practices.

Nice to have

• GraphQL experience.
• Kubernetes, Docker, or another container platform.
• Quantitative skills or experience in finance.

Hiring process

• Introductory conversation followed by a Java pairing session focused on coding, testing, debugging, and data structures.
• Technical interviews covering Java, system design, service architecture, and API-related business problems.
• Team behavioral interview and a 2–4 hour React take-home project with a follow-up review.
