Senior Product Manager, Privacy & Trust

Location: Hybrid in-office three days per week in New York, NY; remote work is permitted up to two days per week. Remote US work is also referenced in the pay range.

Salary: $130,000–$144,000 for New York; $125,000–$140,000 for Remote US. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Own the roadmap for a scalable, automated Data Subject Request platform covering access, deletion, and portability requests across data silos.
• Define data and identity strategies that balance audience growth, personalization, user experience, and privacy compliance.
• Partner with Engineering to modernize data architecture and guide decisions involving data lineage, governance, and security.
• Design transparent, user-centric privacy flows that help readers understand and manage their data.
• Connect Legal, AdTech, Engineering, Editorial, and Revenue stakeholders by translating regulatory and technical requirements into actionable product strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience owning backend platforms.
• Experience in data-heavy environments or with compliance-related products or identity systems.
• Experience developing or expanding Data Subject Request systems, including identity verification and synchronization across disconnected technology stacks.
• Strong understanding of APIs, data flows, and data warehouse environments such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and communicate complex legal or technical constraints to cross-functional leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
