Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote from any location in the United States and Canada

Salary: $194,500–$291,700 USD in Zone D, $205,900–$308,900 USD in Zone C, $217,300–$325,900 USD in Zone B, or $228,700–$343,100 USD in Zone A, annually

What you will do

• Experiment with and deploy AI copilot and autopilot systems that improve analyst productivity and automate manual risk decisions.
• Own end-to-end ML/AI systems, including data-source API calls, prompt tuning, orchestration, metrics, evaluation, productionization, and monitoring.
• Build transformer-based ML models using payment transactions, user and asset graphs, unstructured text, and profile data to improve detection tasks.
• Partner with product, platform, engineering, and operations stakeholders to deploy and optimize production-grade systems.
• Use Python, LLMs, PyTorch, Snowflake, Airflow-based tools, data platforms, and GCP and AWS cloud services.
• Apply agentic development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and OpenClaw to research, development, DevOps, and documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of machine learning modeling experience, with full-stack ML experience strongly preferred.
• Master’s or advanced degree in computer science, data science, operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, or a related technical field.
• Experience building and deploying performant ML/AI systems to production in batch and real-time environments.
• Experience with AI engineering, large language models, and traditional NLP techniques.
• Experience independently owning and driving cross-functional programs with significant business impact.
