Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Remote USA; candidates within a reasonable commute of a hirify.global office must work in the office at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $149,000–$187,000 per year, plus eligible short-term and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Analyze large-scale historical datasets to identify longitudinal trends, behavioral patterns, and transactional insights.
• Translate complex data findings into actionable recommendations for product strategy and business decisions.
• Guide feature engineering and data preparation strategies for robust, scalable, and interpretable machine learning models.
• Partner with engineering teams on data pipelines, model integration, and data quality.
• Design context vectors and data representations for LLM-driven and agentic AI systems.
• Build prototypes, experiments, and analytical models to evaluate new business ideas and validate hypotheses.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
• Strong machine learning fundamentals and deep experience in feature engineering and data preparation.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL systems, and graph databases.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Google Cloud, BigQuery, or Vertex AI; AWS-native data and ML experience is an alternative.
• Working experience with LLMs and agentic AI systems, including context construction, embeddings, and retrieval strategies.
