Accounting Manager

hirify.global develops rocket engine propulsion technologies, including rotating detonation rocket engines and detonation ramjets, for space, defense, and commercial high-speed flight.

What you will do

• Own the full general ledger, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and present tailored results to company leadership.
• Manage AP and expense workflows, approve payment runs, support cash management, and resolve vendor and purchase-order issues.
• Administer weekly and bi-weekly payroll runs and manage the accounting treatment of payroll.
• Support audits and tax work through PBC preparation, clean financial packages, and project timeline management.
• Support budget-to-actual analysis, program cost tracking, ERP implementation, and the development of manufacturing and inventory accounting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license in Texas.
• At least 5 years of combined public and corporate accounting experience.
• Experience owning recurring financial reporting cadences and leading teams under tight deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet U.S. ITAR requirements, including being a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required authorization.

Nice to have

• ERP implementation experience.
• Accounting experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Familiarity with government contracting and subcontracting concepts, including program lifecycles, cost structures, and rates.
• Experience partnering with engineering-heavy product organizations.
