Senior Staff Enterprise Architect (AI)

Location: Hybrid; at least 3 days per week in an hirify.global office in Mountain View, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Pittsburgh, PA.

Salary: $197,000–$285,500 per year for Mountain View and San Francisco roles; $178,000–$257,500 per year for Pittsburgh roles. Annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits are also provided.

What you will do

• Define and execute enterprise-wide IT target-state architecture, technology roadmaps, and modernization strategies.
• Standardize integration patterns, API management, data flows, and security architectures across enterprise systems.
• Provide architectural oversight for strategic programs including ERP implementation, domain onboarding, and systems engineering initiatives.
• Design secure AI integration patterns, guardrails, data pipelines, and governance frameworks for enterprise workflows and internal IT systems.
• Evaluate AI tools, platform integrations, automation agents, and third-party enterprise software investments.
• Establish the Build vs. Buy framework and chair the Enterprise Architecture Review Board.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, or software development, including 6+ years in enterprise architecture and leadership.
• Experience assessing organizational AI capabilities and leading enterprise-wide transformation.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise architecture strategies and frameworks.
• Proficiency in data architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and database technologies.
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, leadership, and change management skills.
• Current authorization to work lawfully in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• TOGAF or Zachman enterprise architecture framework knowledge or certification.
• Management or technology consulting experience, including Big Four or boutique firms.
• AI/LLM architecture experience with RAG, agent design, knowledge graphs, and AI governance.
