Reporter, Big Money and Tech

Location: Hybrid role with office attendance required three days per week in New York or San Francisco; applicants must be eligible to live and work in the United States.

Salary: $120,000–$200,000 USD annually, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Break news about how major investors are positioning around technology companies.
• Produce features, profiles, columns, interviews, and data-driven market insights.
• Build and maintain source networks across hedge funds, mutual funds, crossover funds, private equity, venture firms, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices.
• Analyze public and private markets, capital flows, valuation, interest rates, regulation, and investor psychology.
• Interview investors, CEOs, founders, bankers, and other influential technology and finance figures.
• Represent hirify.global at events, panels, live interviews, and TITV, while collaborating across the newsroom.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience covering business, finance, markets, investing, or technology.
• Strong track record of source-driven reporting and breaking news.
• Deep understanding of public markets, private markets, institutional investors, and company valuation.
• Ability to write with authority and clarity and exercise strong judgment about what matters to sophisticated readers.
• Experience cultivating senior sources among investors, executives, bankers, and other decision-makers and advisors.
• Ability to work from the New York or San Francisco office, with attendance required three days per week, and eligibility to live and work in the United States.
