Location: Onsite at CNBC Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States

Salary: USD 170,000–210,000 yearly

What you will do

• Edit multiple fast-moving financial market stories each day.
• Assign and edit investing stories and newsletters.
• Edit enterprise pieces and help reporters develop engaging narratives.
• Work with reporters to shape stories from the ground up, including quotes, facts, and visuals.
• Identify market trends and story opportunities for the team.
• Manage and provide constructive feedback to reporters.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of editing experience in financial news.
• At least 3 years of experience managing direct reports or a team of journalists.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets and company financials.
• Ability to edit for speed and quality while providing positive, constructive feedback.
• Experience covering breaking news in competitive environments.

Nice to have

• BA/BS in Business, Journalism, or a related field.
• Deep interest in business news and financial markets.
• Experience writing and editing financial market coverage.
