Reporter, AI Computing

Location: Hybrid role with attendance required three days per week at the San Francisco or New York office; applicants must be eligible to live and work in the United States.

Salary: $125,000–$200,000+ USD annually, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Break news about the people, deals, and economics of AI data centers.
• Report on AI infrastructure projects, hardware investments, cloud GPU supply and demand, and project economics.
• Write an AI infrastructure column with original reporting or analysis twice a month.
• Build source networks among data center developers, AI companies, utility providers, and infrastructure investors.
• Collaborate with big tech, finance, and venture reporters to connect infrastructure developments with capital markets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of business, finance, or technology reporting experience, including AI infrastructure reporting.
• Demonstrated record of scoop-driven journalism and source-building on a competitive beat.
• Eligibility to live and work in the United States.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco or New York office three days per week.
