Senior .NET Developer (Fintech)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work model

What you will do

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable product features from conception through production.
• Develop thoroughly tested code and promote Test Driven Development, continuous integration, and deployment practices.
• Lead collaboration with engineering, QA, product, and technical leadership to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Review code, establish maintainability and scalability standards, and reduce technical debt.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to technical strategy and innovation initiatives.
• Investigate incidents, participate in root cause analysis, and join the out-of-hours on-call rota once trained.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in C# .NET Core and object-oriented design, SOA, and related design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, relational database design, SQL, Web API design, concurrency, asynchrony, and parallelism.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, agile development, version control, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Proven experience with unit testing, mocking frameworks, testability patterns, and Test Driven Development.
• Experience in the mutual funds industry or related financial services sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Commercial TypeScript experience and responsive SPA development with Angular.
• Experience with enterprise messaging systems such as NServiceBus or Azure Service Bus.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Blockchain development and cryptographic concepts.
• Knowledge of mutual-fund trading, settlement, reconciliation, lifecycle management, and regulation.
