Senior Software Engineering Practitioner (Fintech)

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania; hybrid with office attendance three days per week

What you will do

• Deliver features and refactoring across backend services in a microservices architecture.
• Build and integrate solutions with CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and infrastructure as code practices.
• Write production-quality code with strong unit and integration test coverage and participate in peer reviews.
• Debug performance and correctness issues in high-volume, low-latency data flows.
• Contribute to engineering dashboards and quality metrics used for program governance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot or C#/.NET; Python is a strong plus.
• Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, REST APIs, and WebSockets.
• Experience with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Proficient English at B2+ level for technical communication. Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, dependency scanning, and least-privilege security principles is also required.

Nice to have

• Background in financial services or capital markets.
• Experience with Liquibase or Flyway.
• Frontend development experience with Angular 2+ or React.
• Experience with Datadog, structured logging, and distributed tracing.
