Technician - Integrated Vehicle Systems (Automotive)

Location: TMNA R&D ACM American Center for Mobility, United States. Onsite role with domestic and international travel of approximately 30%–50%.

What you will do

• Maintain the functionality and safety of test vehicles, equipment, facilities, and testing environments.
• Retrofit, install, and maintain advanced driver-assistance and automated-driving sensors, data-acquisition systems, and related vehicle equipment.
• Execute vehicle-system performance evaluations on public roads and closed test courses.
• Collect, review, and analyze vehicle and system data to support functional and performance assessments.
• Update vehicle system software and verify functionality before testing.
• Diagnose vehicle and system issues, build test fixtures, and safely disassemble, modify, and assemble vehicle systems.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical or academic field, or at least 2 years of equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with data-acquisition equipment for vehicle or system testing.
• Experience updating vehicle system software, confirming functionality, and providing or receiving troubleshooting support remotely.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical standards.
• Experience using onboard diagnostic and controller area network tools to troubleshoot vehicle systems.
• Valid driver’s license and hands-on experience using hand and shop tools to build test fixtures and work on vehicles. Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global immigration sponsorship.
