Senior Developer Advocate (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the New York City office

Salary: $220,000–$250,000 per year

hirify.global is a New York-based robotics engineering platform that helps engineers configure, control, and manage robots through software tools.

What you will do

• Build creative robotics projects demonstrating what developers can create with hirify.global.
• Turn projects and technical learnings into tutorials, videos, sample code, workshops, demos, and talks.
• Represent hirify.global at conferences, meetups, hackathons, and other developer events through speaking, teaching, and hands-on building.
• Grow engagement across Discord and other developer communities while developing credibility with relevant technical audiences.
• Experiment with emerging technologies and identify opportunities for hirify.global to build, teach, or participate.
• Build, assemble, test, and troubleshoot demo software and hardware, then share developer feedback with Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• Professional experience building, shipping, and maintaining production software used by real users.
• Relevant experience with Python, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Ability to independently scope, build, debug, and iterate on software projects with limited direction.
• Track record of creating high-quality technical content for developers and explaining complex concepts clearly.
• Hands-on experience with hardware, IoT, embedded systems, electronics, maker projects, or similar physical systems.
• Comfort with public speaking, teaching, video appearances, direct developer engagement, and occasional evening or weekend events.
