Analyst II - IT Security Operations (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Detect emerging cyber threats using threat intelligence and investigate escalated security alerts.
• Manage security incidents, assess their complexity and impact, and ensure timely, accurate resolution.
• Tune security controls, optimize security technologies, and develop automation playbooks and investigation tools.
• Conduct incident-ticket quality audits and maintain accurate incident reports, SOC playbooks, and knowledge-base documentation.
• Mentor Level 1 SOC analysts, lead investigations or sub-teams, and deliver security training.
• Support workforce management and on-call coverage for high-priority incidents in a 24/7 SOC environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a Level 2 cyber security role.
• Experience with endpoint and network security solutions, including firewalls, proxies, antivirus, and IDS/IPS.
• Hands-on Level 2 experience with SIEM, UEBA, and EDR platforms, as well as TCP/IP and HTTP/HTTPS networking.
• Advanced knowledge of Unix, Linux, and Windows, plus scripting with Python or PowerShell and tools such as Wireshark.
• Experience with threat hunting, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, malware reverse engineering, network and endpoint forensics, memory analysis, and security-log analysis.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+, CySA+, A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with OSINT tools such as Maltego, Shodan, and SpiderFoot.
• Knowledge of AI and machine-learning applications for security automation and threat analysis.
