People Success Director (HRBP) - Technology

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid work model with in-office attendance required Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote placement is not considered. Local Pacific Time hours are required, with flexibility across time zones when necessary. Relocation is offered based on the actual job level.

Salary: $117,000–$180,000 annual base salary, plus potential equity awards and annual bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with senior Technology leaders to assess organizational health and turn performance, attrition, and engagement insights into people strategies.
• Lead talent assessment, succession planning, retention, compensation planning, and leadership development initiatives from design through delivery.
• Advise and coach engineering and technology managers and employees on performance management, career development, and organizational effectiveness.
• Design and facilitate development programs for people managers and individual contributors in technical roles.
• Use workforce data and analytics to measure program effectiveness and inform leadership decisions.
• Identify and implement responsible AI and emerging-tool workflows that improve efficiency, decision-making, and employee experience.

Requirements

• 10+ years of HR generalist or HR business partner experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strategic experience designing systems and driving complex work end to end in an ambiguous environment.
• Strong senior-leader communication, judgment, coaching, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Deep knowledge of HR practices and employment law, with strength in organizational design, talent development, or performance management.
• Ability to apply AI responsibly to high-stakes work, including attention to data integrity, model limitations, and compliance.

Nice to have

• HR business partner experience supporting Technology, Engineering, or Product organizations.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Experience building or scaling HR programs in a growth-stage or transforming organization.
• Familiarity with AI-powered HR tools and their controlled integration into workflows.
