People Partner (HRBP)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Coach managers and employees through performance challenges, conflict resolution, and career development.
• Advise engineering leaders on team health, organizational design, team effectiveness, and employee engagement.
• Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and talent-gap analysis for supported technical teams.
• Improve feedback and performance evaluation practices while fostering continuous development.
• Design talent solutions for software engineers, including professional development, mentorship, and high-potential programs.
• Coordinate offsites, leadership retreats, and team-building workshops while monitoring morale and office dynamics.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience supporting engineering or highly technical teams.
• Strong understanding of the software engineering lifecycle and high-performance technical environments.
• Experience coaching analytical leaders through complex interpersonal and organizational challenges.
• Direct experience with organizational design, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
• Strong analytical skills, professional judgment, business acumen, and maturity as a neutral advisor.
• Hands-on experience creating tailored HR tools and processes; foundational organizational development knowledge.

Nice to have

• A related degree in Organizational Development or equivalent experience.
