TL;DR
Sr. Systems Integration Engineer (Aerospace): Building, integrating, and testing satellite vehicles at subsystem and system levels with an accent on assembly campaigns, test procedures, and electrical and mechanical debugging. Focus on resolving complex integration issues, developing assembly and test hardware, and advancing spacecraft manufacturing and automation.

Location: Irvine, California, United States. Onsite weekday shift, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required.

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 USD per year.

What you will do

  • Design assembly and testing campaigns for spacecraft at subsystem and system levels.
  • Write, review, and execute assembly and test procedures, including go/no-go decisions.
  • Manage work orders, drive nonconformance resolution, and enable daily vehicle integration and test execution.
  • Debug electrical and mechanical issues across satellite systems and subsystems.
  • Evaluate designs for manufacturability and integration while collaborating with engineers and technicians.
  • Develop tools and hardware that support spacecraft assembly and testing, manufacturing scale-up, and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Experience with spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing across propulsion, thermal, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Experience debugging PCB assemblies and reading electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work hands-on, stand for extended periods, manage multiple complex projects, and provide technical guidance.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a relevant STEM field.
  • Experience with vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum, and radiation testing.
  • Experience in aerospace production environments, including cleanrooms and ESD precautions.
  • Experience with documentation and configuration management, basic programming, and Linux-based operating systems.
