Senior / Staff Software Engineer, Fleet Management (Robotics)

Location: New York City, hybrid with 3+ days per week in the office

Salary: $190,000–$235,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and build backend services that manage machine configuration and fleet state.
• Develop full-stack features across Golang services, gRPC APIs, MongoDB, and Svelte/TypeScript web applications.
• Build systems for deploying configuration and software updates across fleets of machines.
• Evolve authentication and permissions systems across the platform.
• Build infrastructure for storing and retrieving logs uploaded from deployed machines.
• Improve usage-tracking systems that support the billing platform and help the fleet platform scale.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating production software end-to-end.
• Experience with distributed or cloud-based production systems.
• Ability to design reliable APIs and backend services at scale.
• Experience debugging complex distributed systems or production services.
• Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and collaborate across teams on shared platform capabilities.
• Experience with robotics or IoT is not required.
