Software Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Onsite at the Santa Clara, California office

Annual base salary: $149,000–$224,000 USD; the role may also be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Design and develop production-grade agentic AI solutions using LLMs, multi-agent workflows, and RAG pipelines.
• Develop prompt engineering strategies, tool-calling flows, and agent orchestration for reliable AI behavior.
• Build secure Python backend services and REST APIs integrating AI agents with enterprise platforms.
• Implement guardrails, output validation, fallback strategies, rate limiting, safe tool invocation, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Create model evaluation frameworks covering prompt testing, retrieval validation, regression testing, and performance benchmarking.
• Deploy, monitor, and operate secure, scalable AI services on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience building backend or distributed systems.
• Strong Python and RESTful API development skills.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based or agentic AI applications, including RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Experience with prompt engineering, LLM behavior, AI guardrails, model validation, and production monitoring.
• Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS cloud environments.
• Ability to work from the Santa Clara, California office under the primarily in-office policy.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-agent orchestration frameworks and AI tool integration patterns.
• Familiarity with Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch, or similar vector databases.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Datadog or Prometheus.
• Exposure to enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow or Snowflake.
