Application Administrator (SaaS)

Location: 100% remote, East Coast of the United States only. Required hours are Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM Eastern Time, with occasional weekend maintenance coverage and participation in a 24x7 escalation rotation.

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annual base salary for New Jersey and Massachusetts, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Provide first-level technical support for hosted applications and help maintain uptime and service-level objectives.
• Operate and monitor application jobs, servers, availability, and performance across production environments.
• Coordinate incident response, repair, restoration, and escalation activities with other departments.
• Lead or support root cause analysis and implement measures to prevent recurring incidents.
• Configure and troubleshoot SFTP services, operating systems, infrastructure, applications, databases, and networks.
• Support cloud and virtual solutions, change management, documentation, and disaster recovery validation.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Experience with encryption tools such as PGP, GPG, or GNU.
• Knowledge of scripting technologies or willingness to learn.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, dependability, and teamwork skills.
• Availability for 4:00 PM–12:00 AM Eastern Time and occasional weekend maintenance coverage.
• Some professional experience or a prior internship; a degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of VAX VMS operating systems.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or container technologies.
• Experience supporting complex internal and client-facing environments.
• Experience troubleshooting Microsoft products and protocols or enterprise applications.
