Software Engineer Intern (Embedded)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test advanced imaging and video algorithms across proprietary SoCs.
• Develop microcode within the constraints of algorithms and DSP hardware.
• Study research papers and implement selected ideas on DSP architectures.
• Develop test code for hardware blocks.
• Optimize code for CPU cycles, memory, and other hardware resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or an equivalent discipline.
• Solid experience with C or C++ and scripting with Perl or Python.
• Some experience developing and debugging assembly code.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, including registers, interrupts, threads, on-chip memory, DRAM, and data synchronization.
• Familiarity with image processing, video representation, and MPEG or H.264/H.265 standards.
• Comfort with code reviews, unit testing, peer reviews, analytical problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional teamwork.

Nice to have

• Current master’s studies in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with neural network frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe, or PyTorch.
