Field Application Engineer Intern (Software)

What you will do

• Assist senior FAEs with customer module firmware and software development.
• Develop equipment control scripts for lab automation and testing.
• Support lab activities to tune and optimize customer modules for performance.
• Participate in product bring-up, including initial software setup and TX/RX performance testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and internal training materials.
• Assist with customer firmware tasks such as image flashing, configuration, and log collection via I2C/MDIO.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Software, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
• Proficiency in C and Python with the ability to read and modify embedded code.
• Commitment to an internship duration of at least 4-6 months.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.

Nice to have

• Experience with test equipment such as DCA or BERT.
• Knowledge of signal and power integrity.
• Experience with simulation tools like ADS or HFSS.
