Field Application Engineer Intern (Software)

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Wuhan, Shanghai, or Suzhou offices.

What you will do

• Assist with customer module firmware and software development, including image flashing and configuration.
• Develop equipment control scripts to automate lab testing and performance tuning.
• Participate in product bring-up, evaluation, and TX/RX performance testing.
• Reproduce and report technical issues while maintaining documentation and FAQs.
• Collaborate with senior FAEs and U.S. engineering teams on customer support sessions.
• Utilize internal software tools for debugging and system analysis over I²C and MDIO interfaces.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Software, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
• Proficiency in C and Python with the ability to read and modify embedded code.
• Commitment to an internship duration of at least 4-6 months.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on lab environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with test equipment such as DCA or BERT.
• Knowledge of signal and power integrity.
• Familiarity with simulation tools like ADS or HFSS.
