Embedded Software Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Design and implement firmware for battery-powered and wired IoT devices using microcontrollers and RTOS environments.
• Own firmware components end to end, including architecture, implementation, code review, testing, delivery, and maintenance across product generations.
• Define software interfaces consumed by other teams and services.
• Debug issues across the stack, from hardware bring-up to production defects in the field.
• Maintain CI pipelines, build systems, and automated test infrastructure for embedded hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware, cloud, mobile, and product teams to deliver reliable device functionality.

Requirements

• Professional software development or embedded development experience with C/C++.
• Production experience with an RTOS, including task design, inter-task communication, and synchronization primitives.
• Experience implementing low-level drivers and interrupt service routines.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, or CI pipelines targeting embedded hardware.
• Experience owning software components from design through delivery and maintenance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with BLE, Wi-Fi, or similar wireless protocols and battery-powered products.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, Embedded Linux, Yocto, or BSP development.
• Experience with Python for build automation, AWS IoT services, or cloud-connected devices.
• Experience integrating AI or ML capabilities into embedded or IoT products.
