Founding Engineer

Location: Berlin, Germany; on-site

Salary: €90K–€150K annually; virtual equity offered to full-time employees in Berlin.

What you will do

• Build core product features end-to-end, from idea and architecture through implementation, rollout, and production.
• Own complex projects, including scope definition, technical decisions, delivery, and launch.
• Develop backend, mobile, and web product capabilities based on project needs.
• Lead critical initiatives such as SDKs, network development, and new product bets.
• Ship high-quality, testable code at high speed and collaborate with stakeholders to shape future products.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Copilot in daily engineering work.

Requirements

• Senior- or staff-level engineering experience in product teams.
• Deep hands-on expertise in at least one area: backend, including TypeScript and Node, mobile, or frontend.
• Proven zero-to-one experience in an early-stage startup, as a founding engineer, or in a similar role.
• Experience owning complex projects and delivering them to production.
• Strong ownership mindset, product thinking, clear communication, and comfort with ambiguity and fast decisions.
• Professional written and spoken English required.
