Founding Engineer

Location: Berlin, Germany; on-site

Salary: €90,000–€150,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Build core product features across backend, mobile, and web from concept to production.
• Own projects end-to-end, including scoping, architecture, implementation, testing, and rollout.
• Drive critical initiatives such as SDKs, networks, and new product bets.
• Ship high-quality, testable code at high speed and unblock complex projects.
• Collaborate with leadership and relevant stakeholders to shape new products.
• Use AI development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Copilot in daily engineering work.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as an engineer in product teams.
• Deep hands-on backend experience, including TypeScript and Node.
• Proven zero-to-one experience in an early-stage startup, as a founding engineer, or in a similar role.
• Experience owning complex projects and delivering them to production.
• Product mindset, strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and high-quality execution.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.
