Senior Business Analyst (AI)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 base salary per year, plus annual bonus and company equity plan.

What you will do

• Translate complex claims data and business questions into actionable insights, KPIs, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end analytical projects across the Data Science & Insights portfolio.
• Write SQL queries, develop reusable Python tools, and create Looker dashboards and scalable reporting.
• Automate recurring deliverables and self-service QBRs while ensuring data pipelines and outputs are trustworthy.
• Create visualizations and business cases that demonstrate the ROI of AI integration for B2B clients.
• Partner with clients, executive leadership, Product, Client Services, Sales, and Data Science to clarify goals and challenge assumptions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Scientist, consultant, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Python, including Pandas or Polars and script development.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and dbt experience.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Ability to explain the rationale behind AI recommendations to non-technical users.
• Experience analyzing claims performance data; familiarity with disability insurance claims workflows, duration compression, and related regulations is preferred.

• Industry experience in disability insurance or technology.
• Familiarity with disability insurance regulatory requirements and claims management workflows.
