Location: Los Angeles, United States. U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data. The role includes collaboration from the Playa Vista office.
Salary: $175,000β$215,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do
- Design and develop RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems and spacecraft architectures.
- Define and verify communication system requirements, interfaces, and subcomponent requirements.
- Perform link budgeting, signal distortion, capacity, reliability, and performance analyses and simulations.
- Develop MATLAB-based analysis tools and system algorithms.
- Lead hardware procurement, integration, design reviews, verification, and testing.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and payload customers to meet vehicle and payload requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of spacecraft RF and telemetry communications experience.
- Experience across multiple spacecraft programs.
- Bachelorβs degree in aerospace engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in spacecraft design, launch, operation, and the full development lifecycle.
- Experience with integrated software and hardware verification and testing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with multiple audiences.
