Associate Project Manager - Power Generation

Location: DFW01_02; primarily on-site at data center facilities and active construction environments. Travel is 25%–50% monthly, with occasional after-hours or weekend availability for outage coordination and critical project milestones.

What you will do

• Support the full project lifecycle for power generation initiatives, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and closeout.
• Coordinate facilities, electrical engineering, construction, operations, contractors, equipment vendors, and utility providers.
• Track milestones, deliverables, action items, schedules, status reports, project files, as-built drawings, submittals, and commissioning records.
• Support procurement through RFP preparation, vendor quote reviews, and purchase order tracking.
• Attend site walks, construction meetings, and commissioning activities; document meeting minutes and follow up on open items.
• Coordinate outage windows, maintenance events, and generator load bank testing while minimizing impact on live data center environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 1–3 years of project coordination or project management experience, preferably in power construction, data center facilities, critical facilities, utilities, or heavy construction.
• Familiarity with power generation and critical power systems, including turbine generators, reciprocating internal combustion engines, fuel cells, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, ATS, and switchgear.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational, written, verbal communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work on-site around energized electrical equipment and follow strict safety protocols, including applicable electrical codes, NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Smartsheet, Procore, or MS Project.
• PMP, PMI-CP, or CAPM certification, or active pursuit of certification.
