Platform Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; hybrid work with work-from-home flexibility

Salary: $220,000–$265,000 per year, plus equity grant

What you will do

• Design and build scalable systems supporting merchant-facing products and services.
• Develop features that improve the merchant experience and drive engagement.
• Build and operate money movement infrastructure and product-agnostic platform tools.
• Launch new products and experiment with existing products in collaboration with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute infrastructure opportunities that accelerate product development and maintain reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend or platform systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience building and operating asynchronous systems or data pipelines in production.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and a commitment to high-quality software.
• Ability to own product and platform initiatives from inception to completion and design appropriate abstractions.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in San Francisco, CA.
