Senior Backend Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Sunnyvale, CA

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 per year in the SF/Bay Area and NYC compensation zone.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain large-scale backend systems.
• Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and operational quality.
• Implement product features that address customer and business needs.
• Develop systems from the ground up and navigate ambiguous problem domains.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders across Product, Finance, and Compliance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers while contributing technical hirify.globalership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience and a proven record of shipping successful projects.
• Experience building large-scale systems in a cloud-native environment, preferably AWS.
• Strong command of at least one programming language, preferably Go or Java.
• Experience developing and maintaining high-quality code and delivering challenging projects on schedule.
• Demonstrated hirify.globalership, mentoring, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Curiosity, humility, adaptability, and openness to learning.

• Fintech experience.
