DevOps Engineer / Software Engineer – Infrastructure

Location: On-site in New York, NY; limited to U.S. citizens

Salary: $130,000–$148,000 base annual salary; estimated total compensation of $151,000–$184,000

hirify.global industrializes offensive cyber operations for the U.S. and its allies, developing infrastructure and software to support secure cyberspace operations.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate AWS-based infrastructure for application platforms.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform across single-tenant and multi-tenant environments.
• Build deployment and environment automation using Ansible or similar tools.
• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines and operational workflows.
• Develop observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
• Partner with application teams on architecture, performance, security, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. government contract and security requirements.
• Experience administering AWS infrastructure and operating production applications.
• Strong experience with Terraform, IP networking, network security, PKI, and secrets management.
• Experience with Ansible or another configuration-management framework and with GitHub Actions or another CI/CD platform.
• Experience with reliability engineering, distributed-systems debugging, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, PostgreSQL, and queue or pub/sub technologies.
• Proficiency in Python or another scripting language and experience operating security-scanning tools.

Nice to have

• Experience or strong interest in cybersecurity, including threat modeling, hardening, and secure defaults.
• Experience with large datasets and graph databases such as Neo4j or AWS Neptune.
• Experience creating runbooks and platform documentation for non-infrastructure teams.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance where required.
