Research Associate, Hibernation (Cryopreservation)

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, plus equity

hirify.global is a moonshot company developing organ-scale reversible cryopreservation to preserve donated organs at subzero temperatures and rewarm them uniformly for transplantation.

What you will do

• Prepare experimental solutions, equipment, and perfusion circuits.
• Support whole-body perfusion experiments by monitoring physiological parameters and controlling perfusion conditions.
• Document experiments and process samples accurately for on-time data reporting.
• Evaluate tissue and organ structural integrity and cryoprotectant distribution after perfusion.
• Review scientific literature and design experiments to optimize preservation protocols.
• Take ownership of specific technical challenges within the hibernation research program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, or equivalent STEM-related training and experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with in vivo rodent models.
• At least 2 years of experience executing complex and demanding laboratory procedures.
• Background or strong interest in physiology.
• Resourcefulness, self-direction, and enthusiasm for problem-solving and novel research protocols.
• Surgical experience is highly desirable.
