Cryogenics R&D Scientist

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States

Base salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus equity and bonus compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the conception, design, development, and manufacture of cryogenic hardware.
• Design and conduct experiments to test component and prototype modifications.
• Improve hardware performance, efficiency, and manufacturability through experimental development.
• Partner with engineers to translate innovations into functional prototypes and production-ready products.
• Work across cryogenic, electrical, and software functions to deliver integrated products.

Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of experience designing, building, or significantly modifying dilution refrigerators.
• Deep background in cryogenics, with a focus on dilution refrigerators.
• Ability to transfer commercial or academic research into fast-paced innovation, prototyping, and deployment.
• Ability to drive results independently, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
