Lead Risk Advisor (Construction)

Location: Remote or offices in New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; and Philadelphia, PA.

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 per year, plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own construction insurance accounts end to end across admitted and E&S markets.
• Lead risk analyses with executives, identifying coverage gaps across general liability, workers’ compensation, auto, umbrella/excess, builders risk, and inland marine.
• Prepare renewal and new-business proposals with program comparisons, exposure changes, loss history, coverage terms, and cost of risk.
• Build scalable construction risk-advisory playbooks and maintain relationships with underwriting partners.
• Review contracts and certificates, coordinate audits, endorsements, adjustments, and claims, and report on insurance programs.
• Collaborate with Growth, Product, and Operations to translate client needs into underwriting, operational, and product improvements.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of commercial insurance experience, preferably with construction or contractor accounts.
• Deep knowledge of construction risk, including general liability, OCIPs/CCIPs, workers’ compensation, commercial auto, umbrella/excess towers, builders risk, and professional lines.
• Experience presenting analyses and broker proposals to C-suite and ownership-level executives.
• Experience with marketplace submissions, carrier negotiations, and coverage strategy across admitted and E&S markets.
• Active P&C Broker’s License required, or obtainable within 120 days of hire.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, accountability, and ability to work in a fast-moving collaborative environment.
