Principal (Applied AI)

Location: United States offices in San Francisco, New York, and the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. Work arrangement: 4 days in person and Fridays remote.

Estimated compensation: $300,000–$600,000 plus equity.

What you will do

• Convert warm, high-intent executive relationships into signed applied AI engagements.
• Act as a fractional Chief AI Transformation Officer and trusted advisor to CEOs and leadership teams.
• Diagnose where AI can create enterprise value and shape actionable transformation plans.
• Mobilize PMs and engineers to launch engagements and deliver production outcomes rather than slideware.
• Own executive relationships beyond the initial project, expanding long-term partnerships.
• Drive revenue through commercial judgment, qualification, negotiation, and closing.

Requirements

• Ability to earn executive trust quickly and communicate clearly with varied audiences.
• Strong learning agility and curiosity, with the ability to become an applied AI expert rapidly.
• Strategic and business acumen for translating AI opportunities into executable business plans.
• Experience building durable, high-trust relationships and owning them over the long term.
• Senior judgment and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and product managers.
• Commercial drive and strong revenue instincts, including the ability to advance and close business.
