Senior Software Engineer I (Python)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global headquarters in Long Beach, California, United States

Base pay range: $132,000–$160,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy tools and services for operational data access.
• Develop scalable data platforms, applications, services, storage systems, and processing infrastructure.
• Build automation that helps engineers discover, access, and use operational data efficiently.
• Collaborate with development, testing, production, and mission operations teams across multiple company verticals and time zones.
• Own services end-to-end, from architecture and development through deployment and production support.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering or related experience.
• Degree or diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in Python and strong understanding of backend architecture.
• Experience deploying services at scale, with CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs, plus strong Git skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements; U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR work-authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, ETL pipelines, data visualization, data science, or numerical analysis.
• Agile development experience and SQL database knowledge.
• Experience with web and user interface development.
