Scientist (Organ Perfusion)

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential equity

hirify.global is a biotech company developing organ-scale reversible cryopreservation to preserve donated organs at subzero temperatures without ice formation and rewarm them uniformly for transplantation.

What you will do

• Perform pig and rat organ isolation and ex-vivo evaluation protocols, including perfusion and histology.
• Develop protocols and assays for whole-organ preservation.
• Evaluate organ health and viability following cryopreservation.
• Prepare laboratory equipment and supplies, place orders, and maintain devices.
• Process samples accurately and report data on time.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers across biology, physics, and chemistry methods.

Requirements

• Graduate degree, such as a Master’s or PhD, in biology or a related field, or approximately three years of significant experience conducting independent scientific discovery in industry.
• Experience or interest in perfusion, preservation, viability assessment, and rapid protocol development.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability, agency, scientific curiosity, and passion for exploring novel protocols.
• Willingness to work in a laboratory setting.
