Sr Staff Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Salary: $145,000–$176,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant production applications.
• Lead architecture design, influence the product roadmap, and own new technical projects.
• Develop backend services and microservices using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Modernize legacy applications, identify system bottlenecks, and optimize performance and operability.
• Lead code and design reviews, sprint planning, technical project planning, mentoring, and delegation.
• Investigate production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and resolve critical incidents with minimal downtime.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of software development experience, or 8 years with an advanced degree.
• Mandatory MarTech experience involving cookies and platform integrations.
• Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Hibernate, AWS, EKS, Cognito, and batch jobs; Python is used for basic scripting.
• Experience with Vue.js or React and leading modernization efforts from AngularJS.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, microservices, API-first development, and OpenTelemetry.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Experience with SaaS products in the technology and financial industries.
• Additional experience building and deploying applications on AWS.
