What you will do

  • Develop power module package and assembly design rules and technology roadmaps.
  • Review packaging drawings, including package outlines, equipment lists, build kits, and PCB/SUB drawings, to ensure compliance with design rules.
  • Conduct DFM and TRA reviews for power module designs with related subcontractors.
  • Work with design teams, assembly houses, SMT sites, and material vendors to develop and qualify new materials and assembly processes.
  • Coordinate internal resources to identify package-related issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Document experience in module package design and SMT processes while maintaining design rules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of directly related experience.
  • Hands-on PCB/SUB design experience in an SMT or PCB factory.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, PCB Designer Standard, CAM350, or Cadence.
  • Strong knowledge of SMT, underfill, molding, laser marking, singulation, backgrinding, and PCB processes.
