Fleet Operations Manager (Robotics)

What you will do

• Directly manage Robot Operators and oversee daily deployment, performance, development, scheduling, and accountability.
• Coordinate prototype robot fleet utilization and operator coverage across onsite and offsite locations.
• Own the lifecycle of data collection operations, from requirements intake and scheduling through execution, quality review, and close-out.
• Partner with software, hardware, product, engineering, and operations stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable operator instructions.
• Design and maintain metrics systems, dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools for utilization, throughput, data quality, and efficiency.
• Develop SOPs, runbooks, and flexible operational processes while identifying risks, resolving blockers, and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in operations coordination, technical operations, field operations, or a related function.
• Experience leading or supervising a team in a hands-on operational environment.
• Strong organizational, coordination, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights.
• Comfort working in early-stage environments with ambiguous and evolving processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, hardware field operations, or data collection environments.
• Experience building operational metrics and reporting infrastructure from scratch.
• Applied use of AI tools to improve workflows, analysis, or operational efficiency.
• Experience coordinating multiple geographic sites or customer-facing deployments.
• Familiarity with Linux environments or technical tooling used in field data collection.
