Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; onsite production-floor presence required
Annual base salary: $152,000–$209,000 for the Senior Manager level; Director-level range: $182,000–$250,000. Equity and comprehensive benefits are also provided.

develops and operates vertically integrated industrial manufacturing infrastructure, combining metal additive manufacturing, precision machining, software, automation, and materials science for aerospace, defense, medical, and other essential industries.
What you will do
- Execute integrated NPI quality plans from process development through serial production and increase Manufacturing Readiness Levels for the V3 consumer electronics program.
- Define, calibrate, and validate CMM, structured-light, CT scanning, and metallurgical testing protocols for advanced metals and alloys.
- Lead shop-floor root cause investigations for geometric distortion, machining variance, and post-processing non-conformances; drive CAPA using data analytics and 8D methods.
- Act as the primary technical quality authority for strategic consumer electronics customers, including technical reviews and FAI/AS9102 execution.
- Lead MRB evaluations, establish SPC and sensor-driven process verification, and improve production yield.
- Direct NPI Quality Engineers and Technicians, develop SOPs and inspection standards, train operators, and oversee technical supplier quality audits.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive quality engineering and technical leadership experience in advanced, high-consequence precision manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience scaling NPI programs into production and working directly with engineering teams, operators, and manufacturing equipment on the production floor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Deep proficiency in GD&T, CMM and optical metrology, metallurgical evaluation, tolerance stack-up analysis, SPC, and Cpk analysis.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949, ECO/ECN management, and FAI or PPAP frameworks.
Nice to have
- Experience with LPBF, DED, powder metallurgy, microstructural characterization, or other metal additive manufacturing workflows.
- Experience with fast-paced NPI cycles, tight-tolerance consumer hardware, high-volume electronics, and tier-one customer quality requirements.
- CQM, CQE, or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
- Exposure to AS9100, AS9102, ISO 13485, or other regulated environments.
