Finance Controller (SaaS)

Location: Based in or near Boston, MA and working from the Boston office

hirify.global is a fast-growing security software company operating in a B2B SaaS environment.

What you will do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and produce accurate GAAP financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, revenue recognition, and the general ledger.
• Design and maintain internal controls and accounting policies, including ASC 606 processes for subscription contracts.
• Lead relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners, including the annual audit and tax compliance.
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cash flow, treasury operations, runway, and burn rate.
• Build accounting, ERP, expense management, and billing systems; support fundraising, board reporting, due diligence, M&A activity, and accounting team growth.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.
• Experience in B2B SaaS or software and strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription businesses.
• CPA certification required.
• Experience owning the full close process, preparing GAAP financial statements, and designing internal controls.
• Hands-on experience with external audits, outside tax advisors, and preferably SOC 2 or a similar audit.
• Proficiency with modern accounting and ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage Intacct, plus billing and subscription management tools.

Nice to have

• Experience at a venture-backed startup, including fundraising due diligence and board reporting.
• Prior Big Four or regional public accounting experience.
• Experience implementing or migrating accounting and ERP systems during company growth.
• Familiarity with equity accounting and cap table management, including Carta.
• Experience with SOC 2 Type II, multi-entity, or multi-currency accounting.
