Senior Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Lead the development and optimization of mechanical systems for humanoid robots from concept through serial production.
• Design and improve critical subsystems including structures, joints, actuators, and gearboxes with a focus on manufacturability and cost.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA), and Design-to-Cost activities.
• Own product industrialization efforts in collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
• Conduct structural, fatigue, thermal, and reliability analyses to ensure long-term performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics.
• 8–15+ years of industry experience developing complex mechanical or mechatronic products.
• Proven track record of bringing products from development into serial production.
• Extensive CAD experience (Creo preferred, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal, die casting, and injection molding.
• Fluent English communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience developing robotic systems, automation equipment, or exoskeletons.
• Expertise in actuator systems, gearbox design, and lightweight structures.
• Familiarity with supplier management, quality systems, FMEA, and risk analysis.
• Experience leading mechanical engineering teams or major subsystem developments.
• German language proficiency.
