Senior Security Engineer

Location: San Francisco, on-site. Relocation assistance and visa and green card support are available for successful applicants moving to San Francisco, where applicable.

What you will do

• Own detection and response across cloud, identity, endpoint, and corporate infrastructure.
• Build and tune high-signal detections in Panther SIEM and lead end-to-end incident investigations, containment, recovery, and post-incident reviews.
• Manage cloud security posture across GCP and Azure, including identity, network, workload, and configuration risks.
• Own perimeter and network security, including Cloudflare WAF, DNS security, CDN, and edge controls.
• Run vulnerability management, threat hunting, endpoint and email security, and security automation.
• Maintain operational evidence for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and ISO 42001, and support enterprise security reviews and trust documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security operations, detection and response, or infrastructure and cloud security at a SaaS company.
• Hands-on detection engineering and SIEM experience, including writing detections and building pipelines.
• Strong cloud security experience with GCP and/or Azure.
• Experience with perimeter and network security, WAF/CDN, DNS security, and edge controls.
• Deep identity and access management experience with Okta or a similar IdP, SSO, SAML, SCIM, MFA, and RBAC.
• End-to-end incident response experience, vulnerability management ownership, scripting with Python or similar, and excellent written communication.

Nice to have

• Detection-as-code experience with Panther, Sigma, or similar tools.
• Experience securing AI or LLM infrastructure and managing operational risks around agents and model access.
• Experience building or scaling security operations at a Series B or earlier startup.
• GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, OSCP, or comparable hands-on credentials.
• SOAR experience or a background supporting enterprise customers in regulated industries.
