Senior Security Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; onsite, with in-person work required 4–5 days per week

Salary: $210,000–$270,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Automate asset, vulnerability, and patch management using cloud-based tools and scripting.
• Lead adoption of developer security tooling, including linters, static analysis, posture assessment scanners, and query inspectors.
• Build security-first application primitives across products and contribute to secure application code and internal tooling.
• Strengthen AWS security across cloud infrastructure and provide guidance on secure coding and vulnerability assessments.
• Identify, assess, communicate, and remediate vulnerabilities while aligning security initiatives with business goals.
• Maintain security documentation and project plans and help improve the organization’s security posture through retrospectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience automating security processes and integrating cloud-based security tools.
• Experience contributing application code, features, bug fixes, or internal security tooling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS security practices and tools.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Ruby, or JavaScript.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, initiative, and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work in person at the office 4–5 days per week.
