Security Engineer

What you will do

• Build foundational security capabilities across product, infrastructure, detection and response, and enterprise security.
• Identify cloud and infrastructure security gaps and improve configurations in a primarily cloud-based environment.
• Establish monitoring, incident response, and operational security processes.
• Review code and infrastructure patterns, identify security issues, and partner with engineering on remediation.
• Support SOC 2 initiatives and translate audit requirements into sustainable security practices.
• Evaluate security tooling and complete hands-on scripting and automation work.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant security experience.
• Generalist exposure to product security, infrastructure security, detection and response, or enterprise security.
• Cloud security experience; GCP is preferred, while strong AWS experience is also considered.
• Ability to review code, assess infrastructure for security gaps, and support automation through scripting.
• Experience with modern cloud and SaaS tooling and preferably a startup or fast-growth environment.
• Must be able to work in San Francisco in a 4-day in-office setting.
