Controller (Autonomous Vehicles)

hirify.global AV is an infrastructure partner supporting the expansion of autonomous vehicle fleets through physical assets, vehicles, depots, and operations technology.

What you will do

• Own the integrity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of accounting records across US and international entities.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including consolidated financial statements, intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and balance sheet substantiation.
• Design and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, chart-of-accounts standards, and segregation-of-duties practices.
• Build and lead the accounting organization, including accounting management, fleet asset accounting, AP/AR, and regional accounting resources.
• Lead external audit relationships and coordinate tax, regulatory, GAAP, IFRS, FX translation, and consolidation requirements.
• Sponsor the ERP migration and drive automation across close, AP/AR, corporate card, banking, and reconciliation processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a CPA license.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership and ownership of a full close.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and experience operating internal control systems.
• Hands-on experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, consolidated reporting, and multi-country operations.
• Direct ownership or sponsorship of an ERP implementation using Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, or a similar platform.
• Experience managing external audits, meeting tight close timelines, and leading in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in mobility, autonomous vehicles, rideshare, logistics, fleet-based, or capital-intensive operations.
• Experience building or scaling an accounting function in a high-growth or resource-constrained startup.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and international accounting standards.
