Specialist, Manufacturing (Biotechnology)

What you will do

• Operate bioreactors, centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, chromatography skids, UF/DF and TFF systems, nanofiltration equipment, and other production systems.
• Perform upstream and downstream processing, filtration, in-process sampling, basic analytical tests, and aseptic manufacturing activities.
• Execute CIP/SIP procedures on process skids and vessels and use HMIs and computerized production systems.
• Complete batch records and other documentation in accordance with SOPs, WINs, cGMPs, and data integrity requirements.
• Identify and escalate product defects, process deviations, equipment issues, and documentation problems.
• Maintain cleanroom housekeeping standards and support training, certification, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Understanding of cGMP documentation, data integrity principles, and regulated manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to operate bioprocessing equipment and follow approved SOPs/WINs for CIP/SIP, filtration, and materials handling.
• Ability to recognize routine process or equipment issues and consult management on appropriate actions.
• Preferred: bachelor's degree or technical diploma in biotechnology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or CDMO manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in cleanrooms, wear required PPE including a fitted respirator, stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 kg, and work rotating day, afternoon, and night shifts.

Nice to have

• Experience with AKTA Ready or equivalent chromatography systems, UF/DF/TFF, nanofiltration, and bioreactors.
• Visual inspection qualification and cold room training.
